I'm saying theoretically, a democracy can be totalitarian. It doesn't concern me how democratic a democracy is, as the only defining characteristic for a democracy is to have elected representatives. I am not defending North Korea. I only point out, it really is a democracy, and that democracy can be a dictatorship. It's not a mutually exclusive concept. It's quite the opposite, because a sham democracy justifies the dictatorship.
I should have clarified and said a TRUE democracy then.

As if this was never a fact in our so-called democracies.
In our two-party shams where we do note even have direct democracy for economic management, there is no "true democracy" at all.

It would be horrible to see Zimbabwe burn to the ground, with everyone in Zimbabwe having a much worse life as result of that. The thought of it gives me sad feels, because it's probably already terrible for them with their hyperinflation.

While Western Norway contribiutes with around 80 percent of the economy, we only get around 20 percent back. And as the so called capital drains the West, they still claims that it is we who should be thankful to get what we get. It is pity, it is.

Considering how various loons seem to be so very afraid of the very concept, especially amongst the more inane amongst the ethno-nationalistic and conservative crowd, there's got to be something. It's a load of bullshit, but is the idea associated with it really all that bad? I mean, a realistic application would hardly be as bad as they claim - you can't realistically tyrannize a seven-billion planet for shits and giggles, so I'm thinking that any sort of plot that overthrows current governments and unites all of humankind in the endeavour of space conquest. Who knows, perhaps there will be a god-emperor to follow, too?
But in the end, it'd be worth it for the resulting rage alone.
just wants to see the world burn
