Probably. I suspect it'll just end up being the NDP in gov, the Cons opposing everything, and the Libs caught in the middle. Not ideal, but I'm glad that the NDP will do well next election.

I don't really get the Harper hate, and, were I a Canuck, I would vote for him.

You know, the Romney re-election campaign and their comrades at Fox said as much during their campaign in 2012. Remind me again, how is President Romney doing?

Note: ignore polling data at one's peril, lest one wants to be another historical footnote like Romney. You wouldn't want Harper to turn out like him, would you?

The No True Scotsman fallacy.

Should claim that anyone who votes for Harper hates Canada and isn't a real Canadian, then? I mean, since you seem to want to take that road.

He's basically Canadian Bush: interventionist, restricting freedom of press, made blacklists of "Government dissenters", tried to ban gay marriages, withdrew from the Kyoto Protocol and holds disturbing opinions on science.

That's just part of the things he did/is still doing.

The Libs and the NDP would be just as bad.

Ignoring climate change

Because it's not as big of a deal as people make it out to be, really. We are humans, for fuck's sake, we can adapt.
Muffling our scientists

How so?
Wasting money on a warplane that isn't that great

Libs and NDP would do the same.

Right. The Conservatives aren't corrupt. They only cheat when it's election time.

I do not trust poll data from the mainstream media, besides Fox News is biased toward pretend fiscal conservatives in the US so their irrelevant to this conversation. Once election day arrives we will say what real Canadians want for their country.

And theirs a good chance their choice will be Stephen Harper.

Lies all of it, this is all from drama queen liberals thinking Canada is turning to a dictatorship. Can't you people just accept your time is over? Canada is blue now not red or orange.

The polls don't look too good for them at the moment.

Right. The Conservatives aren't corrupt. They only cheat when it's election time.

And how is that cheating? Oh, I forget. The liberal party is the natural governing party, and anyone else who wins is a dirty child molester and cheated his way in

The media doesn't conduct polling, polling companies do. And polling companies get their reputation for conducting good, accurate polls, and thus get business. The media picks polls that it trusts to be accurate from experience, and thus selective pressure drives polling companies towards more accurate and better polling. Free market at work.

So why do you hate the free market? I mean, that's the only reason that I can think of that you would distrust a market mechanism that has no government involvement and strives towards accurate analysis.

Tied with Libs and ahead by 1% with the Cons.

I'm going to guess that once the "OMG TRUDEAU!" hype is gone, some Libs will vote NDP. The election is still quite a bit off, so it could change completely, but I'd like to think it'll go well for those of us who like the NDP.
