It's like you think that married couples only have sex to make babies or that all married couples are ready and willing to become parents (or become parents to additional children).

I have a thoery that everyone who claims sex is only for reproduction is just being resentful that they can't get any. *nods*

Well that brings us to another issue, that one shouldn't be having sex until they are married anyway. Then it is ok to have a kid and no one cares if you get pregnant because a condom broke.

Not all married couples have kids, and I don't see what's so different about having an official peice of paper saying you're going to be in bed with the other person.

Edit: The monogamous aspect would produce less of a risk in regards to exposure towards stds (assuming neither already have one), but I just mean the ethics of the act itself.

No, they did not make the right decision at all. I mean come on, she seems to be pretty intelligent and mature already based off of what she has said. It saddens me to think that this girl will be forced into parenthood when she is not ready to do so.
