The thing about the Russian Army in the late 90's is that you, as a conscript do all the work, but the older guys who have been there longer and are almost done or are career soldiers get your pay for it too. Instead of training in groups like we should have been, we learned nothing about teamwork[but some of us could fix your uniform if it ripped], so naturally when we arrived in Grozny and were placed in units that actually trained or had fought in the 1st war they were irritated that we just didn't cooperate very well.
