Of course not. There will always be things that apply to one group of people and not to another simply due to nature. Women can't grow beards, and men can't give birth. If one man gets castration for a crime, another gets 25 years, and one woman gets 20 years, it's not discrimination, it's simply the punishment the court decided fit them best.

I think chemical castration should be an option left to convicted sexual offenders as an alternative to jail, but in no way should any kind of violation of bodily integrity become a mandatory part of a sentence. We have jails to keep dangerous people from harming others.

So I ask again, would you be ok with differing sentences based upon skin color? Because the issue here is not that some people get different sentences. I understand that that is a common occurrence. The issue is that people would receive inequal sentences based upon their sex.

Do we really want to lower ourselves to their level? If we castrated them, we would be no different from these sick monsters. Lock them up, throw away the key. Hang them. Shoot them. At least those ways are more humane, and don't turn us into total monsters.

I never said that was an unacceptable punishment Vinyl, That's simply not the one being proposed. Castration is possibly being added to the list of punishments. I see no reason to require a similar punishment for women, but if one is found I see no reason not to include it either.
