As someone who has a somewhat fluid gender identity - you just know. It's a complex set of relations between brain, conscious and unconscious gender presentation and societal norms on gender. I feel somehow different in an undescribable way depending on gender shifts - sometimes almost as if they are different modes of being, expressions of different facets of a tribe of one.

Gender and other identity concepts represent anchors for a relatively persistent sense of self - these are required in order for the "individual" to exist as a social creature.

It's one of my chief concerns.
Many people identifying as cisgendered may, in fact, be agendered.
They simply don't notice and/or care about it.

An Agendered person isn't likely to care either way. They won't see a "right" set of genitals, just "My genitals." and would continue to see that even if they suddenly switched.

I am a biological male, and my gender is (mostly) male. There's a lot of give and take, and to be frank, I honestly don't care about my gender or identify as any gender in particular. But I express as male, so that's what I say is my gender.
