There was a brief confusion earlier in my life, before I fully understood the idea of gender itself. For a small time, I imagined how life would be different if I were a girl. Since this mostly entailed getting a pony for your dream birthday and letting your hair grow out, I thought it was desirable to be a girl. As my understanding of gender increased, my stance on my self chosen gender evolved accordingly. I live my life under the assumption I have no desire to be female now, and feel just fine with it.
