I know because I know. A tautology, I know, but when it comes to self-identification, that's really all I can say.

That is interesting, as I've noticed that alot of the transgender rights issues revolve around identity rather than biological sex, but it's not often said how exactly the identity is identified, thus it appears circular- they identify because they identify. When you take away the points of reference (genitals and traditional gender personality traits) what do you base it on? I'm not at all suggesting that they're wrong, I support progressive LGBT movements, but it is something that hasn't been touched on in those discussions. Perhaps they feel something deeper than external gender behaviors.

For a cisgender person, yes. For some (/most/nearly all/all) transgender people, though, "accepting fate" is be confusing, distressing, and depressing in the extreme and what helps them is transitioning.

Nature prescribed male sex, not male gender. Primarily because "male" in terms of gender is a social construct, not a biological one.

I've never had an issue with who I am either biologically or mentally. I see things in black and white on this... My brother is Transexual, he has explained it a hundred times but to me it comes across as a mental thing and the mind is under the control of its user... if I'm scared of something I can will myself to not fear it, if something hurts I can will it to stop. I am a strong minded person. If my mind tries and tell me something I and visually see is incorrect I will it to think otherwise and correct the thought.... but that just me.

Because when I was born I was born with a penis, so my parents said I was male and when i grew up it felt normal for me to be male so I've presumed I am a male.

From what I've been told its a process, but if you don't feel comfortable as what you are assigned at birth you are likely one of those things. Being a cis female who has never struggled with this I am probably not the best person to answer your question.

But then how would you know what you're a replicant of, or would you just go through life identifying as a replicant...and would that give people the right to treat you differently because you are a replicant and not an original or would that be sexism against replicants? Do you believe in replicant equality and aknowledge your non-replicant power/privilege if you are not a replicant or do you think replicants are just trying to subvert society and beg for attention as an exception to the rule rather than a legitimate identity?
