What if Hitler had won the war?

There has been plenty of speculation... but now, what do you think?

I think that the Nazi system would have survived to the present. Germany would dominate Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and India. Japan would dominate East Asia, Australia, and the Pacific. The USA would be allied with Canada, but would have lost Alaska and Hawaii to Japan. Most of Latin America would stay neutral or be willing to trade with Germany and Japan to become less dependent on the US.

Racism would still be normal, but there would be a lot less black and brown people these days to be racist against. Nearly no Jews or Gypsies or Slavs. I would not be alive

Frankly, I don't think Hitler would have stopped until he ruled the world.

Even if the Nazis did won, the inevitable death of Hitler might have brought more liberal changes in the regime. Most likely Germany would have withdrawn from most areas by the 70's but would unite her satellites in a Warsaw Pact style alliance.

Well, technically Hitler wanted to enslave the Slavs, not destroy them. But your right, a lot less Slavs.

But yeah, I've also noticed a disturbing lack of "WWI: Germany victorious" and "Cold War: Soviets victorious" and all in all, more diverse "Non-American meanies victorious" oppressive dystopia settings in popular culture. We need more of those.

Bahadur Shah II was likely barely aware that a war was taking place after the first couple of weeks, never mind that some belligerents on one side were ostensibly fighting under his name (and had only done so because he combined that useful combination of dynastic prestige and total inability to do anything about it) ; largely because he seems to have turned partially senile during a conflict he played no part in initiating.

The economy of everyone in Europe would be in shambles. Hell, Britain was devastated after it won the war, imagine how bad it would be after it lost. Germany wouldn't fare much better, the only reason Germany was better off in world war 2 than it was in the interwar period is because Hitler focused so much effort on fighting the war. Any areas Hitler conquered would be in ruins too, both literally and figuratively. In short, lots of awful things done by the Nazis, not all of them done on purpose, and Europe would be in a second Great Depression. Exactly the same kind of conditions that spawned the Nazis and Hitler and Germany, and the same kind of conditions that made people think that Fascism was a good idea. History would repeat, Britain or France or one of the other partially or completely conquered countries would try to conquer "living space" for their people, and Europe would basically turn into a cluster of third world countries only slightly better off than Africa.

Even if they did win the Second World War, the Nazis slowly would have fallen due to pressure from Japan and the remnants of the Allies. Several large revolutions would have occurred in the European and Asian region.

Remember, history is written by the victors, and the victors are the Nazis in this case. Anyone speculating about these things would either be afraid of describing an alternate history where the Nazis lost as a utopia due to the secret police, or propaganda'd (shut up that's a word) into believing that an alternate history where the Nazis lost wouldn't be a utopia. They'd probably think that the Nazis losing would cause France to take over all of Europe, and the entire world to be controlled by a conspiracy of evil Jews.

Depends on too many things to say. What's the POD? What is the type of victory (negotiated, stalemate, allied surrender, etc, etc)? Is the victory total, or limited to the Eropean front?
