No. Hitler and his Nazi cronies killed millions and planned on killing more.

Just look up "The Hunger Plan" and you'll see what I mean.

According to the wiki stats (and I'll concede this is a really difficult subject to get a solid read on) - the total number of Dutch deaths during WW2, military and civilian, that are attributed to the Nazis come out to somewhere between 550 and 600 thousand. That's not millions, but proportionately, that's really, really bad - worse than France had.
The Starvation plan would have gone further, but thankfully, it didn't last long enough.

When I took my history class we spent a whole month one WWII, but that was an AP class. The regular classes don't spend near as much time or go as far into detail as I think they should

I believe it was to join the Japanese against the US after the attack on Pearl Harbor which was only 4 days prior.
Pearl Harbor was on December 7th of 1941.
I also think his advisers were STRONGLY against this move.

His advisers all told him it was a great idea, because that's what they were there for.
As the record shows, Hitler didn't keep advisers who told him that his ideas were bad ideas for very long.

I support peace in Israel and Palestine. The governments and people in power on all sides are an absolute disgrace, and their unwillingness to pursue peace is a disservice to the people they are meant to be serving. The status quo is not simply untenable; it is unquestionably unacceptable.

From my brief glance over on wiki, it was because Hitler was pissed off that the US Navy was attacking Kriegsmarine submarines and seizing German merchant marine vessels.

I saw this video with a speech with Hitler.

It's about Hitler saying that Americans forced European nations to go in war against Germany.
With economic sanctions.

I know Hitler killed millions of people, but his economic should be looked at because they helped Germany to get rid of most economic problems like unemployment and poverty.

1. Germany actually started the war.

2. The UK was the premier military and political power in the world, and had a powerful internal faction opposed to allowing Germany to re-arm at all, even before Hitler's rise to power. The UK was also closely allied to France, as it had been in WWI; and France was preparing for the next war with Germany.

3. Communists and Nazis were opposed ideologically on a fundamental and irreconcilable level. Even if Hitler had not attacked the USSR first, war between Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia was going to happen sooner or later. But Hitler did attack the USSR first.

4. The policy of appeasement was alive and well in European countries up until the forcible invasion of Poland. And somewhat beyond. In spite of a declaration of war, France and Britain didn't actually do much until after Poland got hung out to dry. Waited, in fact, until France itself was invaded to start any serious offensive.

The Ally that could have been diplomatically eased away from taking a stand against German expansionist policy was the United States itself. Yes, FDR himself was opposed to Hitler, saw the war coming, and spend quite a bit of time politically positioning Germany in a poor light; but his main audience and the one he needed to exert the most effort to convince was the American public, not European rulers, and there were plenty of American politicians who, had they been president, would have been more interested in isolationism.

Attacking German subs? Or defending US ships going to Britain from the predations of said submarines? An important distinction.
Pretty sure we weren't taking actual proactive offensive actions against the U-Boats yet - we were just attacking them when they started firing torpedoes.

This was really surprising to me when I found it out - apparently, (according to a book written by a history professor I once had), Hitler actually admired Stalin a great deal on a dictator-to-dictator level.
He just hated everything else about Stalin besides his ability to rule with an iron fist.

FDR and pretty much the rest of his cabinet wanted war with Germany and after Pearl Harbor they had public support for war. Really the bottom line is that the war with Germany was inevitable.
