You claim that Caniope, a well known and respected conservative poster on this forum is, in fact, not right wing. Then you demand that it is proven that he is. I'm sorry but the burden of proof is on you. You have access to his posting history, have at it.

Oh really? You're more qualified to decide what an American conservative actually is than an actual American conservative?
I was born into a Southern town. I grew up beside rednecks, hicks, Southern aristocracy, all of that. While I do not know that I can call myself that, I do know that I am proud of my Southern heritage. The idea that someone cannot be a patriot is nonexistent in that town. Everyone from that town is a patriot. I am a patriot. I grew up in (and still belong to) a Southern Baptist congregation. I remember the services we had in honor of Memorial Day and Veteran's Day. My church was as patriotic as any church could be. Beside the flag of the Southern Baptist Convention was the American flag, standing guard as our preacher lectured us on various virtues. Going through school I said the pledge of allegiance every day. I live the American dream of a good middle class upbringing, and being able to go to school. I'm as American as any other person on this planet. We've literally traced ancestors of mine on one branch as having been here in the 17th century, and another in the 18th century. I have had ancestors or family members who fought in the Revolution, Civil War, and World War II. My great-grandfather worked for the WPA during the Depression. I am a proud supporter of not only my country, but its processes. I believe not in revolution, but in the Amendment process. I defer to the Supreme Court, because its the Supreme Court. I dislike some laws passed by Congress, but I respect their authority because its Congress. America is my land, and I love every inch of it. I love the small backwoods town that I grew up in; I love the metropolises and their concrete jungles. I love the plains of the Mid-West, with farms as far as the eye can see. My favorite part of any road trip (or even just a plane ride) is getting to see America, my country.
And you don't get to question my record as a conservative. Not only have a been a supporter of Republicans and conservatives for as long as I can remember, including before I even properly understood politics*, but my grandfather and my father have both served on the local school board, both as Republicans. My posts will show you a mixture of various conservative movements, including a somewhat distinct blend of neoconservatism and of right wing libertarianism. I think it would be fair to say that I'm the most prominent (or certainly, one of the most prominent, failing that) rightist poster on this forum. You don't get to question my American conservatism. You don't get to create a grotesque parody of my ideology, my movement, and my positions wherein hypocrisy reigns supreme. You don't get to be a debt hawk and expand the government by millions of workers. You don't get to fear the power the government has in the lives of people or in the economy, and then give it such sweeping powers. You don't get to support then military and then give them conscripts who don't want to be there. You don't get to do that.
*I remember supporting Bush in 2004; wanting either McCain, Huckabee, or Thompson to win the primary in 2008 after attending one of the debates that year, and supporting McCain in the election; and supporting Romney from the very beginning in this election round.

As someone whose focus was IL, it's understandably so, so lets not nitpick, what makes you, and "Neocons" in general more right wing than right of center?

No, if I demand proof I expect it, I'm waiting. Site your sources. I am a conservative, not all of us are right wing, you can deal with that accordingly and conduct yourself according to the educate of debate or fuck the hell off, Im not picky in this particular regard.

Here's the thing.
The burden of proof would be a thing if I were making claims about something else or someone else. As it stands, I'm not actually doing so. I'm making a claim about myself, something that is backed up by 20,000+ posts on this forum as well as an audience.
Would like me to prove that I'm actually American too? Would you like a photocopy of my passport?

Although, you have piqued my curiosity. Which conservatives aren't right wing?

I honestly don't care what you think of me, I'm just interested to attempt to understand your logic here.
I really couldn't care less what some random stranger thinks of me on the Internet. Don't believe me if you don't want to believe me, that's your prerogative.
I'm just going to point out that you're wrong, burden of proof generally doesn't work when someone is making a claim about himself, and that I really should be learning Türkçe at this moment.
