I've found that the 'N' word with the letter 'A' at the end is acceptable to my black friends but add the letter 'E' and 'R' at the end then you are in deep shit. I don't understand it myself...

It's offensive in the same way that "idiot" is offensive; you shouldn't say it too often but if you happen to say it, it's not really a big deal. It's just a word, people should learn to deal with it.

In Finland, its Finnish equivalent is pretty common among my peers. Even if it's slightly racist, nobody really cares. Everyone understand that it's just a word.

What does being a man entail, taking responsibility? It's not very responsible to just ignore such an endemic problem to the human race as racism is. It's actually very passive, irresponsible and unmanly.

Well you know there are whites who call each other cracker. Ms. Jeanteel claimed use of cracker was not racist and she lost credibility as a witness in doing so, and that may have partly been why Zimmerman walked.

They can say it freely and work out within their own community the politics of said word. It should be off-limits to anyone who is not Black. It's a word in the English language (and others) and I will use it as such. Not that I actually use it everyday, seeing as I don't need to, and I'd rather say black instead since it's less awkward, less forced, and less edgy. Not to mention it's not a part of the Hebrew vernacular.
