I think it is a stupid word that is mostly used by black people themselves and racist white southerners. The only way to kill the word is for some people to stop being racist and for rappers to stop using it to describe their "people." (I'm trying so hard not to sound racist right now.) I have noticed that it has split up into two different words, one ending with "ah" or "a" and the other ending with "er." The first word seems to be more benign, but still considered racist if a white person says it. Now you know my opinion, what do you think?

Im of the oppinion that we can stop words from being offensive by using them with satire.

For me, the word is very matter-of-fact. That's something I respect. It annoys me when people try to avoid that particular word, but still go about defining a group of people based on the colour of their skin. If you're going to make a distinction based on race, at least use that one, clear word. Don't beat around the bush using all kinds of terms invented in the past forty years to avoid hurting feelings, please.

It's a bad word used mostly by the dregs of society such as neo-Nazis, gangsters, and Paula Deen. I consider it moderately offensive. Simply, one can say it with no problems if they are black. Both are racist anyways, and I don't use the word personally. Censorship isn't good however which means I don't mind people using such words.

I'm white. I don't use the word. And I also think white people telling black people to not use the word themselves is almost as racist as white people using the word. How fucking condescending. If black people want to have a discourse among themselves about whether the word can be reclaimed or whether it should not be used at all, that's their business, not mine.
