i agree with regulating/banning semiautomatic rifles but i'm stingy on the somewhat rhetorical definitions being used. it occurs to me that it would be more effective to create more punctual language and definitions so that the law can be more precisely implemented

If Commiefornia doesn't want to follow the constitution, why don't they just declare independence from the rest of the US. That way, they'll be able to become even more of an authoritarian shithole, and everyone will be happy (apart from the Californian people).

There are plenty of legitimate reasons on both sides. While the gun control crowd has "yeah, it'll make us more safe", the gun crowd has "NUH UH" and the gun control crowd "wait, but statistics". Then again, "NUH UH" is pretty sound.
