There's of course the few but its just like there's blatant Misandrists in the Feminist subreddit. You've always got extremes in both camps. However, those said extremists are generally sidelined by the community as a whole. Most of it is just getting back at the legal or social statuses that wind up tossing men unfairly in prison or giving them the short end of the stick when it comes to divorces.

I would say that economic growth will allow the people there to move beyond their ways as they will be able to produce leisure in less harmful ways. Economic development and societal stability might reduce the rate over time.
