Why so many Left wing people?

Postby Madenia » Mon Sep 09, 2013 12:37 pm

I'm curious, why is it that so many people on this site are of the liberal ideology? Many atheists on here as well.

It doesn't bother me, I'm not even a conservative but rather a minarchist Libertarian. I was just wondering why so many people are of a similar political opinion unless they are more outspoken.

Where are all the super conservative people?

There was a zombie outbreak last April and the conservatives ... well, it wasn't pretty, let's just say that.

Welfare states do well against zombies. We just drown them in food stamps and unemployment checks.

It's the internet. Libertarians and Leftists dominate here. Younger ones are not neocons no more.

The lives of the upper and middle classes were redistributed to the poor and unemployed.

All the capitalists sought refuge in costco. They're still besieged by the undead but they can't get in because they have no membership.

NSG has a thing with conservatives: Their arguments usually end up being baseless and downright stupid, so the leftists usually outsource them. They're a dwindling kind here.

The super conservative people are likely those protesting in the streets about ObamaCare or whatever. Its unlikely that they have the time, or proficiency for that matter, to use a computer.

We do have rational conservatives.

Though they usually end up arguing with the irrational ones.

The answer involves, as mentioned, zombies, Costco, and also a couple of fires in banks, the Greek economic collapse, a drug smuggler in the Hindu Kush and lots, lots, lots of rabbits.

That and the conservatives and libertarians all try to stem the zombie tide single-handedly. C'est magnifique, mais c'est ne pas la guerre.

I am not a liberal. I take each issue on a case by case basis and decide which is the best and most reasonable solution for it. The end result is a very complex ideology that can't be defined as liberal or conservative. I agree with conservatives and reactionaries in some areas and I agree with liberals and radicals in others.

Well the nature of this website means it would attract those with a more left-wing bias...

Some food for thought

To be fair though, unless someone is super intelligent they won't be able to out debate seven minds that have different points.

Unless NSG randomly gets an outpouring of conservatives it will likely stay the case.

I like arguing with conservatives AND liberals. Variety is always cool.

this is an illusion of appearance. created by the fanatacism of the right having moved the illusion of a center in that direction, resulting in a normal distribution having the appearance of being to verying degrees to the left of it.

in reality and in fact, ns has a perfactly natural perfectly centered left-right balance.
truth isn't what i say. isn't what you say. isn't what anybody says. truth is what is there, when no one is saying anything.
