I'd rather leave it to an American to explain it for your country, however I can go into detail as to how we have catholic, Anglican, and even these days Muslim schools, and frequently non-religious people end up at these schools and get said religion's beliefs and morality rammed down their throats.
It is true some schools are religious-based, but there are also schools that completely try to censor any sign of religious activity as well. Both liberal and conservative schools are a threat to U.S. Education. The indoctrination of political ideals in our nation's education has to stop.
Luckily, I went to an elementary school that didn't even have such nonsense.
