Well it is 6:30 in the morning(for me at least) and I was eating breakfast while I posted, so I wasn't exactly going lightning speed...

Is there any way either the OP or someone else could set up a proper finals thread, the way Dyakovo did it (2 weeks long and ran a poll timed to close automatically after said duration of time passed), instead of that 24-hour-long, poll-less so-called finals thread we had last year? Due to the time constraint, a lot of people, myself included, never got a chance to cast a vote in that thread solely on account of our daily schedules. The lack of a poll also placed an unnecessary burden on the OP to count votes manually and excluded disinterested lurkers (supposedly unaffected by petty on-site loyalties and similar drama) entirely. The whole process also resulted in a relatively low turnout compared to past contests, with a total of fewer than 50 votes being cast for a total of 20 finalists. It would be cool if we could have a Dyakovo-style finals thread when that time comes, and I would be more than happy to help with that if needed.

On another note, for the first time ever in the now 4+ years since I joined the site, I might actually decide to enter the competition myself. I'd like to get some more recent photos up on the WDYLL thread beforehand.
