I've been a DC fanboy since I was a small child. Even in the 80s, when all of my friends were swooning over Claremont's work on "X-Men", I was more interested in Dixon on "Teen Titans" and the multiverse-shattering miniseries "Crisis On Infinite Earths". I've always been more JLA than Avengers, more Batman than Captain America. Even over the past several years, when they've made certain controversial moves, I've defended them for at least trying to do something interesting in comics.

The New 52 changed everything, though, and for the first time in my life, I've started saying "Make mine Marvel". It's not that they make bad decisions. It's that they've made SO MANY of them in a row, and refused to admit it.

I was always more of a Marvel girl, but it used to be because (as NA can tell you) I have a whole rant about how DC's universe is too unbalanced. (I call it my "Trouble? Call an alien!" rant, seeing as in a logical version of the DC universe, that would seem to be how the vast majority of problems should be solved.) The last few years, though, DC has been doing its damnedest to convince me that the fact that Supes can do EVERYTHING is the least of their issues.

Personally I don't like the whole trope/meme/idea/thing of one of the women in a lesbian relationship necessarily being "the man", as though lesbian couples were just imitations of straight couples, but I'm not familiar with either of the characters, so maybe one of them would wear a tux. Maybe both would, I dunno.

I honestly think both of them would prefer tuxes. Operating on a strictly masculine-feminine scale, they're both quite masculine, and both very non-conformist in regards to their gender roles.

Kay, I'm getting a bit bored of this whole "mirroring your posts" thing. To be more explicit, all the complaints you level against people complaining about what DC does can be levelled against you. As much as DC is free to write and draw their characters any way they want, we are free to criticise them for how they write and draw their characters.

If you do, you should try to sign the guy who makes Magellan. Supernormal Step is also about a woman (who isn't sexualized) and has multiple female characters. There's also Fusion, but that website seems to be down lately so I don't know what's happened to it. In principle, Mindmistress is a good story, but the art is kinda not so awesome.
