I'm not familiar with the show, but I see there's this place called 'Red Lake'...

My original point was that publicly menstruating without protection is rude, as it can leave stains and make people uncomfortable. On that topic, yes, it does matter.

People shouldn't be uncomfortable with natural biological processes that women cannot help.
And again, no one anywhere in that article is suggesting women should go out in public and bleed on everything or anything.

I got that. But they can menstruate unprotected in private already, so I don't see what they could be implying other than it being acceptable to menstruate publicly.

No, most women don't even want to bleed freely in their own homes because they are so terrified of getting blood on their panties or sheets because someone could see them. This is advocating that women shouldn't be ashamed, especially in their own homes, and to try it if they feel comfortable.

Or maybe it's just because blood is unsightly and most people view having blood on their stuff to be a little gross.

Vaginas and blood are 2spooky.
You do realize this is about women bleeding in their own homes not in public, right?

Here’s an assignment: Get comfortable, wear something you don’t mind bleeding in (heck, this might even include a tampon! remember, this is about you and what’s comfortable for you) or lay on your bed naked with sheets you don’t mind bleeding on, and focus your thoughts on letting yourself bleed.

Let's just say some women stop wearing tampons first with the idea that it will be only in their homes, wouldn't the next step for some (whether right or wrong for them to do) be to stop wearing them at all, and this kind of thing would happen in public.

Is your own bed not in your own home?
But what if I wanna leave a trace?
