I'm probably going to buy one.

I actually should before my next period. I feel like women in Japan might not use tampons or that if they do, they might not use the kind I like (I prefer the kind without applicators) and I won't really be able to read the boxes to know what kind I should be using and all that. I don't really want to import a lot of tampons so I should probably do this before I go.

Also, one of my friends uses one and she likes it. Apparently she used it on and off for the first couple months to get used to it and then it was fine.

I don't have time to buy one before the next merry-go-round of hell, but luckily I'm not going to a place where the tampon situation is unknown.
I tried to use applicator-free tampon but i just could not make it work, it was too uncomfortable. I couldn't get it in the right spot. But, once upon a time, they did have the ones with a biodegradable applicator and wrapper, and even though they were a pain in the ass (the applicator would get soft if you didn't insert the tampon quick enough) I really liked them.

Oh, no. I find the non-applicator kind really easy and I would never go back to applicators. Plus I can put them in my pockets (even the tiny pockets on girl pants) so I don't have to carry a purse with me to the washroom.

The only downside is that sometimes I pull them out with my change or while looking for my chapstick.

I keep meaning to buy the diva cups though since those can be worn for 12 hours without having to do anything to them. This seems much more convenient (because sometimes I don't have time to stop and go to the washroom).

Soft Cups seem good because you can have sex while wearing them in principle. I feel like that would not work for my partner and I, but that's what dark coloured towels are for.

Well, when I used one, I was, *ahem* on the job, and my... devices were rather large. The only problem I had was that I cut it too small and it was sometimes a pain the the butt to get it back out.
But in any case, I don't foresee myself having sex for many year so... Diva Cup it is.
