It's probably balanced out by the stabbing and drug overdose related mortality rate :p

That only happens after a Rangers v Celtic game, especially the stabbing part.

But Glasgow isn't actually that bad a place, I should know. :p

Funny, I'm listening to a song about London while writing this.

Birmingham, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Manchester, and Glasglow would make good substitute capitals.

Edinburgh seems like the logical successor

It has an old house of parliament that the UK Parliament can use. The Monarch has her second residence there. And the Armed Forces have a strong presence.

Seems like a deal maker.

Douglas. Which could then massively expand, and eventually Mann would emerge as a pan-Islandic city, with the entire isle being one massive infrastructural fortress in the middle of the Irish Sea.

The transport links would need a good bit of work though.

And any organisation in that regard shouldn't involve any Edinburgh politicians.

Probably decreases at about the same rate on Saturdays.

I'm sure Holyrood and "New" Westminster could co-exist............actually lets move the Scots Parliament to Aberdeen

Manchester is a city rather close to the centre of the UK (well, the densely populated parts at least) so it'd be a pretty good choice. It's rather important today, and could easily handle the construction of a new Parliament building along with financial centres. It would do the wider area wonders for mass regeneration.

And you can move all the Londoners to Hull.

Yeah those are big cities that have good economies.

You could throw in Cardiff and Liverpool as well.

I can see Cardiff becoming the UK's new corporate center.

I still stand by the Scots capital as the new Union capital. The first acts of union involved England (Wales wasn't really recognized at this time unfortunately) and Scotland. So Edinburgh.

1) Glasgow

2) Glasgow

3) Give them all tents while we built a shitton of council houses in the south-east, to balance out the poverty levels, and around major cities.

A lot of people are suggesting Edinburgh but wouldn't that also be flooded?

If that is the case then perhaps Birmingham as the largest city away from the coast.
