What if London...wasn't there anymore (A challenge)

A fun-ish debate on something that has been swimming through my mind for a while.

Ok, so lets imagine a hypothetical (but possible) near future where British scientists discover that London is to be flooded by rising sea levels in a years time. With no time to build effective and long term water barriers, and with the current ones ineffective, the Parliament of Great Britain votes to re-locate the capital.

Here are the challenge questions


1) Which city should be the new political capital of the UK?

2) Where in the UK should the economic executives relocate?

3) What is to be done with the 7 million Londoners trapped by water and power blackouts?


So, what would you do?

It's probably balanced out by the stabbing and drug overdose related mortality rate
