Regarding Japanese cities though, I've always had an attraction towards Aomori and Asahikawa for some reason... Muroran as well, but that's too small, haha.

Oh, the RP where you edited the map fOr Japan has up in P2TM, if you want to be Imperial Japan.

I'm at my sisters house and for some reason the Japanese font even though I suspect it might be the same just looks better to read and Furigana is actually working (instead of showing up in brackets and making shit unreadable like this) and it's almost enough to make me actually convert to Chrome but not really.

Aikayla is outed dated in days where Alyakia never posts. I should make, like, Noseiseki.

e: That said it is producing an annoying habit of copying the Furigana and the Kanji, *sigh*

The Japanese pamper their pets to a remarkable degree. All jokes aside, many women (and some men) seem to have replaced children with dogs. It's something I've noted, especially in larger cities, I see more women and even couples pushing a stroller containing a dog than a baby. There's a lot more dogs running around than children.

Interesting, as it seems to be quite true in where I live as well. I guess dogs can provide the same degree of cuteness but without the enormous cost of education and general care as well as the general arsetitude of cats.

It may be good if I date a Japanese woman and then takes her to Indonesia, as gender equality is good here. But I don't know the way to date a Japanese woman because of differents in culture.

Guys, this is a hypothetical question. What would be the best job for a foreigner (like me) in Japan? I think the most common one is English Teacher. This just came to me because most of my classmates in my Japanese class plans to work in Japan.

Um... unless Indonesia is doing something I REALLY haven't heard about, you date a woman the same way... Taking her out to dinner is a good start.

Depends on where you want to be and your skill set. Yes, English teacher is the most common, but you also have people working in multinational companies as well. The big cities (Tokyo) have a lot more opportunities for foreigners than, say, out where I am.

Huh. Is it just me or does anyone else get the feeling that Japan's society and culture (or something, that's my best educated guess) are really traumatizing the fuck out of pretty much everyone over there?

I remember watching documentaries very long ago about how sex in Japan is fairly low compared to any other nation in the world. And this was mostly attributed to how wildly sex-related material was available in Japan, and how it was plastered all over in certain districts of Tokyo and such. Things including just regular porn, and of course things including Anime.

I sometimes forgot man :p

But yeah, the reason why I know words of Japanese, because they invaded my homeland, during the days when we still called as Dutch East Indies and then we maintain strong relationship with Japan until now.

Most cultures do, though east Asian cultures are quite famous for its hierarchal and somewhat oppressive culture compared with the West, it seems.

There's a number of possible reasons. Lack of time, lack of energy, the (to my mind) odd way that Japan approaches marriage, etc.

It's becoming more and more pronounced with more cybershutins though.

Maybe that'll work, but there's a slim chance of me getting accepted. I'd like to use skills I prefer (engineering or achitecture).

IBM, Xerox, Microsoft, etc. They all have offices in Japan. Japanese companies like Sony, Toshiba, etc. also hire foreign nationals when they have overseas offices in order to help deal with relations, projects, etc.

So why is it still intact in Japan and no one abolish it?

The same reason why bullying still exist in the rest of the world: it is not something that can be effectively banned. Ijme deserves a special mention mostly because of Japanese culture making peer pressure even greater than it is in, say, the West.

This is, to me, a problem among East Asians in general. I would even go as far as saying that this a problem for some Americans as well. The difference lies in immigration, but I'm sure you know that so I won't preach to the choir.

I don't know what part of Indonesia you live in, but that's certainly not the case in my experience. Especially how Indonesians treat Chinese-Indonesian women. Yeah, I'm calling bullshit here.

It's a concern that is being acted upon, but as with all things, changing culture is bloody difficult.

Especially when children are involved.
