Oh I can't wait for this debate to become intriguing and not just herpderp from the left and "she's ok really" from the right.

Go to a Barack book signing its the same thing.

When did this form of political marketing start? Bush II? Reagan?

All I know is that I am not looking forward to the avalanche of stupid that will be the 2012 POTUS election.

There was already a thread linking to this exact video...

Sometimes, I wonder who has it worse? Canadians, with our boring personalities, or Americans, where personalities is all politics is about. A happy medium, would of course be the best, but I wonder who has it worse?

I only do signings for authors I rather like. Most recent was David Sedaris, and before that I went to a signing by Michael Beschloss.

Also got a signed copy of my eighth grade teacher's book about Presidents from Ohio. It's worth seven dollars ;)

I, for one, am relieved that nerds still own Canadian politics.

I beg to differ. The elections are immensely entertaining as long as you remember that the country is doomed no matter who wins. Some people take these politicians way to seriously. A Palin vs. Obama showdown will be a laugh-a-minute extravaganza!

Agreed, but you generally hear people going on about the "cult of Obama" or similar, and not also pointing fingers at the other side.

Wow....I wonder what would happen if Republicans lose even more seats in Congress in 2010.
