It doesn't say that hurricanes will be prevented, just that they will move eastwards.

I am deeply, deeply offended by that.

Climate Change causes hurricanes, not prevents them, and I've lost someone that was mildly close to me in one of such hurricanes.

...The article just says it's possible the changes in climate will push hurricanes into the Atlantic, not prevent them.
