It's possible either that that has changed, or that it is not counted because (as I said) it is only for the purpose of maintaining cathedrals and the like.

I am Atheist because I like the way it sounds.

But seriously, it just to me doesn't make sense. Like Catholics think the Big Bang is nonsense and has no proof, the bible says so doesn't show proof. It could be a book written as part of a giant joke someone first made, that grew. What they think about evolution, and the Big Bang, I think about creationism. I was raised to have a free will and mind, and so I found a book on the floor that was ~~A Porn Mag~~ not a bible, and so...

I haven't kept up, to be honest.

People can voluntarily pay church tax in Germany if they are part of a church, but that's different from those faiths being official in the sense that the Church of England is headed by the head of state of the UK.

you need to re-read the question. how do you know the god christians, et al, think they are worshipping, isn't actually this satan thing they claim there is. you know, inspiring the bible, saying worship me, supposedly, and all that. how do you know that wasn't really this satan that did all that, if you honestly believe there is one?

Basically the vast majority of the countries in the world lack a State religion.
