Seriously, space is a battleground in the future (and that's not kidding, I work in defence) if America neglects her development, it could put them at a crucial disadvantage

i.e Your enemies have orbital space weapons + You don't = REALLY REALLY BAD!

For the last time, orbital space weapons aren't practical. Working in defense doesn't make you an astronomer. It takes so long to burn retrograde that you'll miss your target completely, and after that, atmospheric drag will take you far below the 4,000 m/s that most ICBMs impact their targets at. And you won't have any propulsion left to speed you up because you'll have spent it deorbiting.

Who/what is Hiddenrun?
I support peace in Israel and Palestine. The governments and people in power on all sides are an absolute disgrace, and their unwillingness to pursue peace is a disservice to the people they are meant to be serving. The status quo is not simply untenable; it is unquestionably unacceptable.

Ah.

Well, once you start with the whole "USA is God's chosen people", especially given the biblical prophecy that the USA (along with all other governments) will be destroyed and replaced by Christ's Kingdom, well... let's just say the cognitive dissonance would need to be strong indeed.

Regnum Dominae wrote:What has Iran done to deserve being declared war on?

Overthrowing the Shah and generally violating human rights of millions of people.

Yes Im Biop wrote:1: We don't NEED TO. The Ni\z's are floating cities.

Yes we do. Right now the Nimitzes are doing just fine, but they'll be outdated in 10-20 years and we'll have to start replacing them with the Gerald Ford class. The problem is that we're not constructing enough Gerald R. Fords compared to the retirement rate of the old Nimitzes. Thus, the US Navy will have less than 11 aircraft carriers which is the bare minimum set by the DoD.

Yes Im Biop wrote:2: Thus we have B-52's, AC-130's and F-22 ("Upgrading" To the F-35's)

Yes, we'll be using 100-year old bombers in a few decades. Might as well start constructing Spitfires for the USAF. F-22 and F-35 are constant failures; we'll be forced to rely on F-15s and F-16s for a long, long, looong time.
What you don't seem to understand that while F-16s are good right now, they'll be severly outdated within the next decade. That's why we gotta plan ahead.

Yes Im Biop wrote:3: Why would the Finish be involving in Syria? The US Should not we don't need another fucking ground war

Maybe we'd get a sensible government that understands the importance of human rights? And actually you do. America must liberate the people of Syria and Iran.

Yes Im Biop wrote:4:Because it's not our fucking Job. The UN was made for a reason

The UN is useless as long as it is prevented from functioning by dictatorships like Russia and China.

You don't have a clue, do you?
1 - Bombers are not used in a modern military. Fighter jets are more than capable in delivering tactical payloads and rockets are by far cheaper and better than bombers. The B-52 is fine where it is. No need to burn more cash on stealth bombers when we already have what we need.
2 - We have more than 5 times the number of aircraft carriers than the the next country wot the most. We don't need more carriers. The Gerald Ford's are not major improvements over the Nimitz as the carriers is valued based on how many aircraft it can carry. We have eleven mamoths already. We have more than enough projection of arial power. Not to mention that planes can go farther and farther now so it's not like we need to get more carriers to cover more ground.
3 - If you had even the slightest clue about world events we have Al Queda vs a bat-crazy dictator. Intervention would not only kill more people, but its not Anerica's job to do it either. I don't see Finland manning up. America is not the world's police. If it's such an issue, handle it yourself. Congress, the America Public, an the UN do not want to get America involved.
4 - Russia is not a dictatorship, China, maybe, but there are no serious issues other than "OHMYGODCOLDWARENEMIES!". We are cooperating to help them both in a peacefull manner. Once again, handle it yourself.

HAHAHA what are you smoking?

The irony of the so-called patriot ignoring the fact America was unique for being a nation founded on shared ideals of the enlightenment rather than most nation's foundations in shared ethnicity, culture, or religion, is not lost on proponents of civic/liberal/civil nationalism.

Hell, I'll just use this bible quote to show that Yahweh, if he existed, would have been supporting the government that still legally derives power from divine right.

When you have come into the land that the Lord your God is giving you, and have taken possession of it and settled in it, and you say, “I will set a king over me, like all the nations that are around me,” you may indeed set over you a king whom the Lord your God will choose. One of your own community you may set as king over you; you are not permitted to put a foreigner over you, who is not of your own community.

Deuteronomy 17:14-15
"The notion of a Christian commonwealth should be exploded forever...Government should protect every man in thinking and speaking freely, and see that one does not abuse another. The liberty I contend for is more than toleration. The very idea of toleration is despicable; it supposes that some have a pre-eminence above the rest to grant indulgence, whereas all should be equally free, Jews, Turks, Pagans and Christians."

-Minister John Leland

Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blind-folded fear.

-Thomas Jefferson

It will only be a matter of time before China starts staking claims in outer space and becoming the world's first space empire. Either China or Russia... The OP is but one indication of this.

This is what the USA should do.

It should militarize space and be the first one to stake claims. The moon is a great starting place.

In the future, who controls key resources and strategic locations across space will be a huge factor in who maintains superpower status. We can't afford to miss the next age of Colonization...

Wait what. We are talking about God's chosen people in a "China-go-to-moon-thread"? Jews are God's chosen people. End of story.

C-Can, can we instead discuss about Space and China, since I fail to see the connection between those two things?
