World War 3, possible?

Postby Ultrapia » Thu Aug 29, 2013 11:25 am

Having read some recent articles on the current Syria conflict and other things caused by the Arab Spring. Allot of people have been saying we are on the brink of a major war. Perhaps even a third world war. (pfft, yeh right)

To be honest I don't think it will come to that.

But when you look at it does look bad. UK and US (both N.A.T.O Nations) planning intervention against Assad Regime, Russia and China supporting the regime, Iran and Israel not getting on, almost civil war in Egypt, separate rebel groups in Syria have links to Al Qeueda and I've just read an article that Russia threatened Saudi Arabia.

Of course this happens allot. To be honest I don't think WW3 will happen and think that this is the talk of conspiracy nutcases. But what do you think?

Unlikely, but very possible. I'd be especially worried even after the conflict if the rebels come out on top.

No not even close to likely. The logic of nuclear deterrence prevails still, as does a globalist economy free of serious great power rivalry.

World War 3 is always possible, but very unlikely. There is, however, serious concern that the VMA's will cause Iran to be so disgusted that they start levelling the West.

Yes. But it will start in East Asia in my opinion. There will be a plan to liberate North Korea in the future. Japan will send it's new mecha army piloted by schoolgirls, with the exception of one male student. After that, South Korea sends k-drama over North Korean airwaves. The U.S will then rain iPhones and Xbox Ones all over the northern peninsula in order to make the population complacent.

This makes China and Russia angry of course. The Chinese president began to unleash his army of kung-fu fighters to eliminate the schoolgirl pilots. Russia sends it's Orthodox priests to preach against the K-Drama, because it's very homosexual. India realizes that it's missing out and since they did all the tech support for iPhones and Xbox One, they continue to sit back and do nothing because that's all India is ever good for. Except when Pakistan threatens to nuke everyone, India came to the rescue by unleashing Punjabi pop music over the tiny country and force everyone in Pakistan to dance, averting a global nuclear threat.

Everyone breathes a sigh of relieve and meets in the Versailles to draft a treaty that would end World War III. North Korea is now ruled by the mecha schoolgirls, and the one male student, to form a fledgling republic. The Pakistanis are still dancing. The world economy prospered and everyone looks forward for the new Xbox Two.

The end.

No. WW3 is so absurdly unlikely that it makes me wonder why people discuss it as if it were even a slight possibility.

Maybe, though a large scale conflict would maybe end up destroying the world, and I don't think anyone would like that. I think it's really hard for such a thing to happen.

It's possible in theory, but it won't happen.

At most, the West and the East will wage a proxy war in the Middle East.

Because they think that Russia and China could intervene militarily on behalf of Syria and Iran.

While the european armies are busy in Syria, Liechenstein launches it's surprise offensive and annexes Germany, Austria, Italy, France, and Switzerland, then declares the New Holy Roman Empire and signs an alliance with Andorra, who promptly annexes spain and portugal.
Not wanting to be left out, Taiwan invades Japan and China and begins advancing into russia.

Then the missiles start flying.
