Well, the point is they had just concetration camps as nazis, I want to say for the same purpose: to exterminate people (primarly Slavs). There was an Italian conctration camp on the island of Rab there about 500,000 people died.

There was also forced Italianisation on Slavs in Istria and Dalmazia.
