Am i the only one that sees that as a little contradictory?

I think the point is to see if people of a certain race are less likely to get accepted for a job, and to make sure that employers aren't being discriminatory based on your race.

Race is a constantly shifting hierarchy defined arbitrarily by the "white" power structure to determine how much oppression to apply to different people. Its discussion without qualifiers like this is harmful, since race language tends to carry the implication that race is legitimate and not constructed.

National and ethnic pride and shame make no sense to me. They're fucking accidents of geography or genetics. Pride and shame ought to be reserved for one's own actions.

Nah, I was talking about the "French French." Of course if France is also embracing multiculturalism, would it also be wrong to say that France is it's own ethnic group when their are multiple ones in it? Where do you draw the line between race, ethnicity, and nationality? It's screwy in America, I would separate race to be a biological concept, ethnicity to be a cultural one, and nationality to be a national one.

(I am currently living in America, and they are way more chill about race. It's also more confusing.)
