Alright, then they won't get bankrupt. Not an issue if people want to keep eating there despite their bigoted view.

For you, maybe.

I'm certain that since this is the US we're talking about, if a group of 25 white people walked in dressed in certain attire, perhaps acting boisterously, the restaurant would throw them out no matter what colour they were.

This whole story sounds fishy. I suspect that the black patrons cried "racism" because they're perfectly human, just like the other 99.9% of people on Earth. They want money, and they want attention. A shrewd lawyer probably thought all the publicity up.

I can imagine that if 25 native Dutch would walk into a restaurant here acting as you have described then they would be kicked out just as fast as 25 Turkish immigrants doing the same.

If you're talking about McCain, he was born in the Panama Canal Zone, which at the time was a an American territory.

I'm not sure if that's constitutional or not, just shouting it out.

Unless the party was threatening customers or being rowdier than people get at wing places (quite rowdy in my experience), I doubt it's anything else.

What were they doing, peeing on the floor? Fighting? The news source doesn't show that. It says they were just eating at a wing joint.

I think it was pretty inconsiderate of them. I mean, if the customer felt threatened by them, they should have just stopped being black, right?

Not just 25.

They are regulars. They know other regulars. If I was one of the 25, I could ruin their entire business, without any lawsuit.

They were removed because the customer felt threatened. The customer felt threatened because they were black.

If it had been 25 white customers, do you think the restaurant would have removed them? 25 paying customers? Or would they have told that one customer they were being ridiculous? I see no reason or justification given why these customers were removed, or any justification for the customer to feel threatened. If this isn't a racial issue, I don't know what is.

First off I think the claim the complaining customer was white is questionable. The manager is never quoted as saying the customer was white, and it is bad customer service policy to invite conflicts by pointing out complaining customers to other customers.

Second There is nothing definitive to tie the customer's complaint to be based on race. Until I get the other side of the story why it is just an unknown.

Third Discrepancy in the time one account says they waited 2 hours and were kicked out as soon as they were seated, another account says they were sitting their peaceably for two hours. Given this is a wing and beer place there is a question of how much were they drinking, were they sitting were they waiting.

Fourth it appeals they were kicked out for recording the incident rather than the incident itself.

I agree.

You could argue that the restaurant didn't properly think the situation through, but no way can you say they made a sound business move. If all the patrons where white and not black, then I do not think the situation would have played out the way it did, which still leads me to believe it was racially motivated.

Also, great business sense by the Café.

They throw out 25 customers because of the one who felt "threatened."
