Yes, it is called thinking for yourself, and not holding yourself hostage to ideologues and narrow-minded philosophies.

Hear, hear.

Systems and policy should be determined through research, by the use of social sciences such as sociology and economics.

Well, communism gets rid of elitism...

However, for a country, pure communism is impossible. You have to go for different variants of it.

Some of those variants can eliminate poverty as well, if the country has enough money.

You can't eliminate poverty.

Cameroi: if your argument is "the problem ultimately has to be solved culturally, not ideologically," then I'm not sure you quite grasp what exactly ideology is.

Ideology is, in short, all-encompassing. Cultural change is ideological change, and vice-versa.
The American Legion is a neo-fascist terrorist organization, bent on implementing Paulinist Sharia, and with a history of pogroms against organized labor and peace activists and of lynching those who dare resist or defend themselves against its aggression.

Pro: O'Reilly technical books, crew-length socks, Slide-O-Mix trombone lubricant, Reuben sandwiches
Anti: The eight-line signature limit, lift kits, cancelling Better Off Ted, Chicago Cubs

Problem: what happens when people with unequal outcomes have kids? Opportunity becomes unequal.

Sadly all known solutions to this problem are extremely disruptive economically and socially.

Anyway, the best system of all is techno-utopianism. Stop squabbling over how resources are distributed and just focus on getting more of them.

I realized that there is no true system which eliminates elitism, hunger, poverty, unemployment etc. Although I am a capitalist economically and a libertarian minarchist politically, I wanted to look for a superior system which can eliminate these things. I was thinking a meritocracy was superior with an intelligence base. I studied a Chinese model which mixes popular vote with merit based rule and it seems pretty superior. I still feel it may not be able to eliminate elitism. I mean it sound like a great system. Everything is focused on problem solving and managing but then it came down to an economic system. Socialism is a mix of cooperative and state ownership. Communism is stateless and classless and ruled by the people. Capitalism is private ownership oriented which has worked way better and improving living standards. Yet all systems have flaws and capitalism can't eliminate theses flaws. I was also getting into Plato's idea of "philosopher kings" governing who loved true knowledge and gave everyone improved lifestyles due to their intelligence and wisdom loving and focused on real problem solving. It is almost identical to an intelligence bases meritocracy. I would like your guys take on this issue and explain to me if you think a system can be created in which eliminates these flaws. I'd also like to know which economic and political systems you feel are superior that solve more problems and improve societies.

No system yet has eliminated hunger, poverty, elitism, and unemployment.....I doubt any system
could do such a thing.

I was basically looking at the world and wanted to create a society where human rights and freedoms were available. Where distribution of products was fixed and nothing was thrown out. Fifty percent of food in America and .U.K. is thrown put because the lower class can't afford it. Of course I would still have a capitalist system but free of hunger and elitism. The upper class I don't consider political elites ,because money won't be allowed in politics anymore.

You are definitely right. The policies of the system really have to have research put into them and then it really effects the system. You need social and economic engineering with a planned education.

You can't eliminate poverty.

Last I was told about poverty, I remember it being crime, lack of money/food, etc.

You can eliminate that.
