Looks like the Sabres have wised up about one of their suspended goons. Patrick Kaleta is going through the waivers and might be changing his style of play in the AHL level.

No, I realize that GAA is the Goalie stat, but it seems to me like it would still be beneficial to measure Goalie +/-.

The positives for the Sabres tonight is that a) They didn't get scored on in the 1st period, and b) They scored a goal first.

... And then they let in 5 goals unanswered. :D

Either Etem or Perry would've had a hat trick if the game lasted for another 5 minutes. I'm pretty sure the last few minutes of the game was dedicated to getting them the puck for that reason.

Honestly, the Sabres should've taken more penalties against the Ducks, because at least then they had a better chance of not getting scored on!

Since the goalie is on the ice for the whole game (99% of the time) the actual score is his +/-. +/- is really a useless category, IMHO, as someone just coming onto the ice during a line shift gets dinged for a -1 if a goal is scored vs. his team during the switch; but doesn't get a +1 if his team scores... :palm:
