Just a concerning question. I know many people nowadays say Asia is just China, North and South Korea, Japan and India. But I wanna hear what you think Asia is.

EDIT: In addition, I also wanna hear how you define an "Asian"

That depends on your definition of a continent.
Are there:
Seven?
Four?
Fifteen?

It is located to the east of the Suez Canal, the Ural River, and the Ural Mountains, and south of the Caucasus Mountains (or the Kuma–Manych Depression) and the Caspian and Black Seas. Anyone who lives in this region is Asian; whether you are an Arab, a Chinese, or an Indian.

The continent to the west of the Pacific extending from Taiwan/Japan/Russia to Azores (Portugal).

I've also argued that as Polynesians are Austronesians (the same as Malays) they should also be considered Asian

From Turkey and the Finnish-Russian border to Guam and that part of Russia that touches Alaska and all that. But nbt Africa, which is everything southwest of the Middle East until you reach the Atlantic, and Australasia (aka Oceania) which is everything southeast of SE Asia.

Asia is the continent, Middle East to Far.

Asian is far more interesting.

Ask an American about an Asian and they think Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Malaysian, those styles of phenotypes

Ask most Brits about Asians and the image they have is that of an Arab, mainly Afghanistan, Pakistann, and west of there (India is generally not counted as Asian) which is funny, because we associate Asia more with the Chinese, but Asians are Arabs

The Asian continent IS from Istanbul to Vladviostok, but it is divided in to Asia, the Middle East, India, and Siberia.

So:

Asians- China, Korea, Japan, SE Asia.

Arabs and Middle Easterners- Pakistan and west to Istanbul.

Indians- derp.

Siberians- Russia

I've always considered China, the Koreas, Japan, and southeast Asia to be Asia and the Middle East to be separate, but I watched a British documentary and they referred to the Middle Eastern immigrants to the UK as Asians and I was super confused. But then I looked at a map and realized that the Middle East is part of Asia after all.
