Any Muslims interested, TG your sect and Madhhab. No particular reason for this, just a survey.

Ooh, Nice.

For Sufis, do you say your madhab and your Sufi Order?

Yeah, what I think I'll do though is just remove the 'Sufi' sections and just have the orders be added on at the end if the one answering is Sufi.

Once Imam Abu Hanifa(RA) was walking and wearing nice clothing as he was a good merchant, a Jew approached him and said "I thought this world was a prison for Muslims!?" Imam Abu Hanifa(RA) replied "If this is what Allah(SWT) gives us in prison, just imagine what he'll give us in paradise"

Bullshit. Half of my mothers' side is culturally Bektâşi or Alevi. They are a minority, yes, but saying there isn't any in Turkey is pretty much saying that there aren't any blacks in the United States.

Bektâşis were also heavily repressed following the violent end of the Janissary Corps in the Ottoman Empire, which were predominantly Bektâşi themselves.

What do you people think about the implementation of "Sharia" law in Brunei (i.e. stoning for adultery, homosexuality and apostasy, among other things)?
Carl Sagan, astrophysicist and atheist wrote:"Science is not only compatible with spirituality; it is a profound source of spirituality.
When we recognize our place in an immensity of light-years and in the passage of ages,
when we grasp the intricacy, beauty, and subtlety of life, then that soaring feeling,
that sense of elation and humility combined, is surely spiritual...
The notion that science and spirituality are somehow mutually exclusive does a disservice to both."

Given the notorious corruption of the sultan of Brunei and the repression inherent to Sharia law, my guess is he and his family will still engage in drug and hooker parties while the common prole gets to be a Pious MuslimTM.

How does that follow? Also, isn't it odd to say the least to have the same penalty for adultery and murder?

The Sultan himself perhaps not; his fondness for gold and luxury cars aside, he's never been caught up in any scandals involving sex or drugs.

His brother Jefri 'lick him clean' Bolkiah, absolutely.

It tends to be the collateral family members who are the problem in these cases rather than the ruler himself; examples abound across the remaining monarchies of the Islamic world. Among the actual rulers, few want a direct repeat of Farouk.

What happened to King Farouk? The Wikipedia article on him isn't too detailed.

Yup. Just like Saudi Arabia.

The best part about the Saudi cunt government is that one of their princes got caught having a gay coke party in the US.

Of course. But more than just one. The Saudi princes are all about wild Vegas sex parties, hookers and blow. Though the hookers are usually but certainly not exclusively women

Note the last source is from Muslim Malaysian.

You are too brainwashed by Saudi propaganda though. Do you know the only difference between an ordinary Wahhabi and ISIS? Faith in the corrupt Saudis. ISIS believe the same religious things you do, but have seen the truth about the house of Saud.

Though they too are corrupt as hell. But extremism and corruption go together like peanut butter and jelly.

As with areas of Pakistan and Nigeria, if you look at the Shari'ah court system in Brunei. They have it all wrong.

The amount of wirnesses is incorrect, The witnesses they do use are unqualified bringing no evidence to prove themselves, difference of scholarly opinion is never adressed when a ruling is brought up, customs are not judged appropriately, repentence is almost never recognized, testimony is often brought forth by bribery...it's an absolute mess. Basically they adhere to a mix of tribal custom, colonial law, Salafi dogma, The Sultan's whims, and cherrypicked instances from Classical Jurisprudence for their system of Shari'ah.

Not that I actually support death for Adultery or whatever.

But why do people have so much sympathy for adulterers in cases like this, yet are totally cool with tye concept of some dude beats up who he found his wife sleeping with and throws him out of his house?

Would anyone really be surprised if that happened? That's probably what anyone would do in such a situation.
