An eternity of anything, at least to me, would become hell.

Eternal bliss is nice and all. But not when it's always constant. Not when it isn't balanced by suffering as well.

It's victims have been anesthetized to the point of loosing their capacity for normal human emotion. They are worthy of pity. Such a place is a gentle hell, and all the more terrible for it.
