This is bullshit. The majority aren't left wing atheists.

Ah, if only...

What happens after you die? Is there some sort of after life or do you completely cease to exist forever? Do you reincarnate into another living thing? Are scared to die?

Okay, here's my theory: if somebody has bid on your soul during your lifetime, they take it upon death and keep it stored somewhere. Other souls are taken in by merchants after the physical body has expired and a brisk trade is ongoing in these things, which are regarded as interesting conversation pieces for the insanely wealthy. Since souls are essentially ghosts, program one to be your bodyguard/mobile security system. They can physically stop somebody trying to break into your house or kill you, but they can't be killed, either - and their existence can't be otherwise proved.

Or - if you like to think inside a box - maybe we all simply rot in the ground. I don't care either way. Get back to you on that one after I open another bottle of vodka.

Nothing is a pronoun denoting the absence of anything. Nothing is a pronoun associated with nothingness. In nontechnical uses, nothing denotes things lacking importance, interest, value, relevance, or significance. Nothingness is the state of being nothing. the state of nonexistence of anything, or the property of having nothing.

so if there is a thread about it on wikipedia
it exists

Theres a thread about LOTR on wiki. Does that exist?

What happens when we die?

You either get cremated -- in which case you are ashes-- or you're buried in the ground, in which case your body rots. In either casse, your emotional and intellectual existence is finished.
There is no you any more.

I believe that reincarnation is the mostly outcome. But, various forms of eternal existence sound reasonable.

Sure, they sound reasonable but after that tenth or twelfth millennium of just floating around in the ether, you are so going to be wishing for death.

Even I thought I'd go mad by number 30, but I showed me!

This is what happens. There is no god, no heaven, no soul. You only have one life.

I personally have decided to be cremated. Everything that religion says is a lie. There is no evidence that suggests an afterlife exists, nor is there evidence to support the existence of any gods.

Honestly? My personal worst fear is disappearing after death. It just seems ridiculous to think that we could be just some sort of bright flash; high impact, but gone incredibly quickly.

There. I've admitted my number one worst fear on the internet.

I believe in some form of afterlife. I know people who have had near death experiences and it is some pretty chilling stuff.

Maybe heaven is a dream that lasts for eternity, everyone's heaven (or hell assuming the person dying felt guilt or anything else that would cause nightmares) would be different. I always assumed it would be like an eternal sleep and there would be some brain activity.

I've always believed in ghosts though and that isn't much more far fetched than the idea of heaven or hell.

I'm not sure. Hopefully I'll go to heaven but LOL I doubt it. I was medically dead for an extremely brief period, and I don't remember. Sorry about that.
