So I take it you didn't bother to actually take the time to find out what exactly is going on here, then?

That's different. Hell is not a slur. It has no other name, just references. Besides, most people do not know the etymology and meaning of the 'n' word.

They know that the word is a slur against black people, and shouldn't be used to refer to them. However, it's all about context. I mean, seriously, as one comedian (I forgot who) pointed out, it's ridiculous to say "The N-Word", because it's simply another way to say the word "nigger" without getting into trouble for it. And even if it is impolite, where do we draw the line? Tarantino films? Rap music? Huckleberry Finn?

Again: Context is everything.

More like it was a balancing act to use the warring sides against each other to secure borders (and recoup losses of winter war). Even more so since the "alliance" with axis was president "acting alone" [1], which was used to both avoid formal alliance with Axis and as a way to weasel out of said agreement as soon as Finland's goals were met and president Ryti resigned from his position. After the negotiations were concluded, Finland proceeded to forcefully remove Axis forces from finnish soil in Lapland War [2].

I'm finding it really hard to make the connection between trying to "give African-American students greater access 'to a complete and competitive education from the time they're born all through the time they get a career'" and asking schools to "ignore bad behavior by black students".

There's some serious intellectual dishonesty going on somewhere at a level I've never seen before.

Not sufficiently serious for reproving students. Just as Physics and Chemistry are, but shouldn't be, because we have no purpose in learning Hard Science as average persons.

I didn't had those for most of my life anyway.

It's not like the OP had anything worth debating, what with being entirely conjured up bullshit. At least the derail allowed this thread to discuss actual history that is at least loosely related to OP (as in, the poster).

It's certainly an interesting topic, no doubt. Far more interesting than the OP. In fact, I'd say that it deserves its own thread.

Arts, Literature or Physical Education [are] useless subjects

For you, maybe. But as far as I know, most people WANT to be physically healthy; most people WANT to be creative.

As far as "harder sciences" go, if you don't want those sorts of classes, you don't have to take them. In America, you don't HAVE to take Physics, you don't HAVE to take calculus, and there's a reason for that, because, as you say, most people don't need them.

But everyone needs to be physically healthy, or else they die. Not to say that without PE, we'd all die, that's absurd. Not everyone comes out of the womb with the knowledge of how to be healthy, so they have classes to help teach people those necessary skills. Everyone needs to be creative too, because creativity is just another word for "innovation." Creative doesn't mean "artistic." Just about everyone with a career, and even most people without a career, needs to be innovative. Whether you're a venture capitalist, or an engineer, or an architect, or a philosopher, or a doctor, or a researcher, or a teacher, or a politician, or a soldier.

Even ordinary folks have to be innovative! If you want to fix up a room, or upgrade your car, or find better ways to manage your relationships in life. Even plumbers, mechanics, farmers, and shop owners have to be innovative! Hell, even the homeless have to be innovative, or else there would be no chance to advance themselves in life!

Without proper PE classes (which most American schools lack), we'd all be as fat as the average American. Without art/music/literature courses, we couldn't think for ourselves; remember, knowledge is power. And without creativity, or innovation, life would have no point at all.

In short, if you think that arts, PE, and literature are useless, do yourself a favor and shoot yourself in the mouth so that you don't have to enjoy life. Oh wait, don't do that. Thanks to the compassion of the innovative, healthy people who have contributed the most amazing and most mundane things to society, even someone as pointless as yourself can enjoy life and take part in the crazy world we live in today.

Ah, I can see it now. Maybe they assume that to educate black people, you have to ignore the rules because otherwise they'd all be expelled.

Of course.
