I use them to buy components and the customer service is pretty good.
I've used them in the past, too. Can't really comment about whether they're better/worse than anyone else at the moment, but I've always seemed to get a good deal from amongst a good selection of components, whenever I've gone with them. They do/have done "deals of the <time period>" on some components, so if you can wait and stagger your purchases (leaving the ones that depreciate quickest until last, but get the first good case that comes along as that's not as time-sensitive) you can be better off.
(But that latter bit of advice covers all suppliers, not just them. I'm sure shopping around would help out as well.)
Aria also used to (haven't checked recently) do Bare Bones kits (some assembly required, on top of a shell system) as well put-it-together-for-you service that would let them make sure you've not made any silly compatibility errors or ommissions (like forgotten a fan for the CPU, like I once did, having usually gotten chip/fan bundles in one go). I've also habitually bought OEM Windows with my components, so you may not even need to go for Win8 (I'm not going to, if I can help it) if they've still got Win7 available.
The last serious 'whole machine' I bought (apart from casual end-of-stock ones which also needed some attention) was from a company called Escom. If I tell you that any extended warranty that I would have bought would have outlasted the company, you can rather narrow down the rough date of that purchase somewhat.
