Certainly not popular ideals, since the vast majority of the people living in The United States prefer for it to remain one nation. Certainly not on the basis of being much large the any other nation, since India and China are large population-wise and do fairly well, and Russia and Canada are bigger geographcially, same thing. Certainly not due to major regional ethnic or linguistically divides, since most of the nation speaks primarily English, is ethnically diverse, ect.
