Apparently they got that name when the founder, on trial (probably for blasphemy or some such, this was 17th century England), told the judge to "tremble before the Lord!" or some such.

Christian, born into a Christian household. Proceeded to go through a period of doubt and get confused in my own belief, then said "Well, what the heck?" I'd rather live like there was a God then if there wasn't.

(I still believe in a God, but that's still a good point. Albert Camus! Good guy.)
