Well there are some religions I like. True Christianity, Islam and Judaism that is about peace, not war. And Daoist too.

Jainism?

The blue part is Agnosticism.

Agnostic - Doesn't Believe there is proof
Gnostic - Believes there is proof.

I turn Agnostic Theist in my friend's unnamed New Age mumbo jumbo for a short amount of time sometimes. Then I go back to being a Gnostic Atheist.

It's good to doubt one's position.

What is this "New Age mumbo jumbo" your friend believes?

It's pretty thoughtful and such. I know a bit more about it from talking to him than he shared in this thread, but basically, there's an energy-being-like-god, he created the Universe, let the rest go on on it's own and guided intelligent life around.
That's my approximation of it anyway. I could go on describing it but it's almost 2 am and I have school in the morning -.-

I call it New Age mumbo jumbo to annoy him, really. xD

See, at the shallow end, it's like all the other bullshit religion.

Just, I've been told the depths of it. I like it a lot. That's probably why I sometimes start thinking that maybe it might be true.
But in the end I know it ain't. Doesn't stop me from playing around with the ideas though.

Don't believe in any gods in the slightest. If all religions can't be right, then they must all be wrong.

Some Evidence

Postby The Unexpected Spanish Inquisition » Sun Sep 01, 2013 9:35 pm

I decided to come check out the forums. This post drew my attention, so I started reading. As I read, I noticed one of the most common replies to be "I'm an atheist because there is no evidence supporting the existence of a deity." I personally am a Protestant Christian, and have not found this to be the case. I have myself seen many miracles; sometimes God has even performed them through me. In my home, prophetic knowledge, healings, and many other things are quite commonplace. A good movie about the subject is Finger of God (http://fingerofgod.wpfilm.com/), made by Darren Wilson. Now, at this point you probably think I'm a little...crazy, nutty, off my rocker. Not right in the head. Or maybe you just think I'm stupid and naive. Trust me, I was as skeptical as you when I first heard about it. I approached it logically. I'm a very logical person, a man of science. But as I looked into it there was no way to deny it. Now I've seen it happen so many times where it couldn't be faked and the person had no ulterior motive. I've even been on both ends of it. My friends leg grew out while I prayed for him. I had an ankle healed. I've seen cancer go away, an old woman on the heart transplant list receive "the heart of a 25 year-old" according to doctors, and many other things. Jesus is incredible. And I have found that once one puts the world on the right foundation, it all makes sense, and any contradictions disappear.

You can ignore me if you want. Call me a raving lunatic, I don't care. But I'm not crazy. God's amazing love changed my life, and it can change yours too. If you want Him too, just let Him into your life; He'll do all the rest.

If you have any questions or comments, send me a telegram (or whatever the pm in this game is called, I'm new to this) or reply in the post.

Are there any studies on this?
My blog
I'm an atheist. When I defend theological arguments for fun, don't make cliche New Atheist remarks about theistic biases or trying to cover up gaps to save my "belief". You'll just look stupid.

Are there any studies on this?

The filmmaker himself freely admits that he never bothered to verify the "miracles" he presents in his movie. He says it was because he couldn't afford to, that he could only afford flights and crappy hotels and there was no money left for things like actual research. Hopefully his for-profit studio will decide to invest some of their profits in genuine reporting one day.

I'm an agnostic, and my family is probably agnostic too. At least, I wasn't born and raised into believing deity/deities. A lot of my neighbours were Christians though.
I used to go to a Catholic school when I was in grade 1 because it was a private school, and I've been to churches couple of times. To be honest, I never really got caught up with religion so for most of my life I didn't even think about deities or choosing a religion. It just wasn't part of my life. It's interesting to read stuff about religion and atheism though. So I personally think religion is very subjective, so claiming that a particular religion is the absolute truth is very naive and ridiculous o ^ o/

Don't insult your doctors. >:( Biology & Medicine did those things - not Jesus.

And you realise that for the old woman to get the heart of a 25 year-old, that a 25 year-old had to die? Thanks, Jesus. :palm:
