Wanting to strengthen our own race doesn't equal thinking we're better than anyone. Totalitarianism removes the broken system of democracy which slows progress. Meh. They didn't crush the power of the working class, they set it so their nation can make progress. They didn't attempt genocide of an entire group of people, they attempted to remove the "weaker" parts of German society. There's really no evidence to back up claims that the Third Reich wanted to exterminate anyone from the planet.

Because being at the whim of a possibly insane dictator is so much better.

We aren't trying to shame you. We are showing you that we exist and are proud of who and what we are. We are dispelling the absurd belief that you should be ashamed for not being a cisgender heterosexual.

Homosexuality still carries the death penalty in seven countries, is illegal in many more, and only carries marriage equality in a small handful. Awareness is still needed. We do not want to feel special, we want to be accepted as equals.
