Very good English, my friend. Yes, I think it's going to be German if one other person tells me French feels like German rolling off the tongue (I had this video in my head of me just hitting on a chick, and then just spewing some random as French to loosen the gates, but eh. Life's a bitch :P)

ask moderation about reading serious moderation candidates TGs without telling them about it until afterwards and/or apparently refusing to confirm/deny the exact timeline of TG reading ~~~ i hope you never sent any of the recent mods or the ones that got really close anything personal!

signature edit: confirmation has been received. they will explicitly do it before and without asking. they can look at TGs basically whenever they want so please keep this in mind when nominating people for moderator or TGing good posters/anyone!

Oh god, that just ruins the dream, hahaha

It also might have something to do with the fact that I don't have the accent or talk fast enough.

Leaving aside the terrifyingly casual sexism and racism, your explanations of all of them would definitely recommend German. It's ridiculously easy to tell the difference between someone learning a language because they love it, and someone speaking it to impress people and boost their feeling of self-worth. Specifically, the latter category tends to absolutely mangle the language, because speaking a language well is really hard work!

German seems to be the only language you're pursuing because of a true interest in its culture, history, and outlook, not just unrealistic romantic notions. Of course it has all of the advantages described above as well, but really, learning a language is like getting a job or pursuing anything else in life. If you don't have a passion for it, you'll burn yourself out; in all likelihood, you'll just wind up frustrated, and within a few years you'll have forgotten almost everything you learned anyway. On the other hand, with German, the longer you pursue it the more you'll enjoy it, since it seems like you would be more inclined to start using the skills you earned to read more complex works, see movies, etc.

To learn a language to boast

To learn a language for passion

To not learn a language.

I'd rather have the top two than the latter, regardless.

But anyways, it is German.

If anyone speaks Spanish and would like some practice, please TG me, I'd much appreciate it!

I'd say Swedish is the language to do. As I'm learning Swedish with Spanish, it can be a bit hard like other languages. However, Swedish is a Germanic Language, meaning that some or much of the words are extremely close to German, with that, English. Sweden is very known throughout Europe for never being in war for 200 years, because of, well, Napoleon Bonaparte. It has very peaceful neighbors, and Scandinavia as a whole has an excellent economy. Learning Spanish and a Germanic Language will allow you to more clearly be able to understand similar languages: Like German, Finnish, Norwegian, Austrian, then Italian, French, Romanian, and Hungarian (possibly). As you can see, learning these two languages opens up pretty much half of Europe to you.

Improving English and your Spanish(+Kafi), I think Swedish is for you.

I feel like that 200 years without war is a bit... incorrect. I can't recall anything, but, I don't know. I feel like there was a war there, they either broke the Norway-Swede kingdom in two in 1914 or 1814, and I believe there was some kind of war before that. Maybe I'm wrong, but 200 years of peace is a longgg tiimmee, Especially from Gustav the V's descendents xP

The Campaign Against Norway was in 1814, but eh, it's pretty much 200 years (and technically I think they were at war during the 1st and 6th Coalitions). Wow, fun fact!

But since you didn't mention that, go with Deutsch.

I may be off, of about 20 years. However, all the Swedes did was send support troops, ever since The Naopleanoc Wars. Nevertheless, going 200+ years without declaring war is a long time. Sweden has never seen much of war, except for several EU-commisioned troops in Afghanistan. Sweden has a high-tech military, and a known for it having "one of the happiest citizens in the world!

To answer the question, learn Sumerian. It's undoubtedly the greatest language to have ever existed.

French,

French is epic. No, if, ands, or butts about it. For every American who says we saved France in World War 1 (we did) and World War 2 (we barely did), there's another dumbass that completely ignores their service to us (viva Napoleon!) in the Revolution and 1812.
1. French is sexy, French bitches are sexy. 2. I really like Canada, I mean this has nothing really to do with the French, just that it's spoken in one break-away wanting region. And, well, the Canuks don't like the French-Canuks anyways. 3. I mean it really just comes down to how mellifluous the language and rich the history is..., 4. Also, not so difficult from what I've seen but others have stated its pretty rough (pedantic Grammatical rules aren't bad for me, I have a pretty good memory)

Swedish,

I had a fiegning interest in moving to Sweden. Quick note, I forgot the name, I think it's called Kafi or something, but like the British have tea-time the Swedes have COFFEE-TIME. And I love Coffee. Love it. Sweden also has, along with Russia (and Scandinavia) and average breast size larger than D. Which is like, omfg, lovely. They, however, do not have C&C (concealed and carry) laws which is a GARGANTUAN bummer. And yea, I just like Sweden because of how the gov'ts run and I want to do some research on anti-corruption practices (Singapore would probably be better, but damn Sweden is lovely) Plus I like the Cold, a lot. And white women. And Blond hair.

Russia,

I just love the women. And, I think the agricultural industry over there is ripe for the taking, very fertile and unused land. Needs to be sold to the private sector (and I'm a Socialist!)

I'm sorry, but what kind of socialist blatantly objectifies women, and, particularly, exotifies the women of foreign lands? More incredulously, what kind of socialist refers to women as "bitches"?

I relate well to your love of languages and commend you for your passion in learning new ones, but no self-respecting socialist refers to women in such a way.

Learn French. It's impressive and challenging to learn, plus spoken in more regions of the world than any of the others. It's easier to find tutors for it, while Russian requires 700+ hours of immersion in a Russian speaking environment to learn properly. Swedish is nice, since you'll be able to speak with Danes, Norwegians, and most Finns, who are taught Swedish in school. That said it's a bit ugly and not very useful outside of Scandinavia.
