Gigaverse where do you go for practice/beginning?

Dictionary. All Dictionary and a little bit of interest with the suddenly-awesome-just-add-Nazis language got me do it.

The same motivation applied for the Russians got me able to decipher 75% of the Cyrillic alphabet on my own.

All dictionary?

That seems counter-productive imo. You never used the Idiot or CliffNotes language books? I remember when I was like 12 scanning a German one, all I remember is Der and Die, lol. (And the whole, two words make one thing isa p. awesome construction)

On secon thought here is a top four of prioritues, because why not learning all of them?

1 - German
2 - Russian (Outer space primary language)
3 - French
4 - Swedish (probably a nice language to speak, but Sweden is so international I could go there speaking my mother toungue and find someone who answer me)

I'm not Swedish, to tell you a hint look closely at my Nation's flag. 2nd hint: mine is indeed a dirty language, I tried to help an US friend of mine who alredy knew spanish and still had a lot of issues with "if" or "whether" constructs. 3rd hint: we own the entire coffee culture. ;)

That's pretty stupid.

If you're interested in business Arabic is a good language to go. That's all I can say.

In that case, it's back to square one, except Swedish is probably not your first option. Now for the next diagnostic question:

Beer, red wine or vodka?

Seriously though, it depends on what you actually WANT to learn your third language for.

Business, and for easy communication around the world, Russian (English and Spanish can get you really far, and Russian will probably fill up the need for most else since you're not interested in Arabia or Africa)

Ease of learning, German

A bit of both, French.

this probably isn't the right thread but have you considered that maybe your position of not really liking 1.57 billion people too much based on the actions of about 30 or so is not very well thought out
ask moderation about reading serious moderation candidates TGs without telling them about it until afterwards and/or apparently refusing to confirm/deny the exact timeline of TG reading ~~~ i hope you never sent any of the recent mods or the ones that got really close anything personal!

signature edit: confirmation has been received. they will explicitly do it before and without asking. they can look at TGs basically whenever they want so please keep this in mind when nominating people for moderator or TGing good posters/anyone!

@Romberg,

Red wine and Vodka xP.

And wow, this is actually moving me a lot farther from French than I thought it was going to. Russian and German are growing on me from this thread, but Russian will probably be a forth since I feel like with each language you learn the next becomes easier (because you know what to look for, most common verbs, etc)

See, it's not about logic. That's the fundamental break, it's about emotion. We're not automatons.

Nope. It actually felt a lot like German, for some reason. Also, the reason it was hard might've had something to do with the public school district deciding someone with a thick Jamaican accent would be the perfect French teacher. Also, English was her 4th Language.

I'd go for german.
1) Germany is economacly(hope I spelled it right) extremly powerfull, so with English, Spanish, German you would be pretty much alright in the hard world of business ;)
2) You may not believe it, but we germans also have humour! It's an awesome place to be in, (except for the fucked up wether) especially at the northern coasts or in Bavaria(little patriot over here)
3) I am german so it just has to be good ;)

BTW: I learn french for 2 years now, and it feels horrible to speak it!

Economically* extremely* powerful*

Very good English, my friend. Yes, I think it's going to be German if one other person tells me French feels like German rolling off the tongue (I had this video in my head of me just hitting on a chick, and then just spewing some random as French to loosen the gates, but eh. Life's a bitch :P)
