Yes, perceived. Contrary to popular belief, not everyone finds blonde, big-breasted women to be the pinnacle of attractiveness.Firmador wrote:Faces are made from the gene pool, different countries have different, average, characteristics.
When you have countries as big and as varied as France and Germany, the distinction is meaningless.Firmador wrote:Do you want me to post the World's Map of average cup size? I'm a guy, I objectify. Women objectify, they constantly judge each other subconsciously and consciously based on their bodies.
By all means objectify, but don't expect it to get you anywhere past a sub-par night with a drunken, insecure young woman.
And does that have any relevance to your choice of language? Barely.

If you're going to consider a language based on breast size, you might want to educate yourself about breast size.
Ds aren't that big, certainly not as big as a lot of people think. These are what Ds and DDs actually look like: http://bfcidade.wordpress.com/2010/04/1 ... -dd-cups// The cup is proportional to the band.
If the list you're looking at goes by straight cup size (which would be an inaccurate measurement of breast size), do understand that the cups in European sizes are smaller. Someone who's a 65D in European sizes is a 30C in US sizes. But, that's irrelevant anyway since cup size varies with band size.
If you're going to learn a Scandinavian language, Norwegian would be the most versatile because it has the most mutual inteligibility. Learn Norwegian and you can read Danish quite well, and speak with Swedes quite well. Advantages of a Scandiavian language is it will take you less time than most of the others you list. Grammar will seem like a piece of cake after Spanish.
Edit: whoops, reversed conversions

Wow, that's a pretty interesting article! And thanks, thanks a lot about the Euro thing, it'd have to see what the exact measurements for the area are. But, actually Scandinavia ranks at DD+ the map I saw, I only said D because Russia ranked as D and I included them. I'm sure it'll take a quick wiki to figure it out, but whew, thanks again, lol. But i've seen D's and DD's (at least I think, I don't ask generally... seems chancely insulting) and they look much bigger than that (from the article).

Yeah, because American media has somehow gotten "DDs are HUUUUGE" in their head, and a lot of women force themsleves into the wrong bras because "I can't be a D, I'm tiny". Believe me, I'm a G-something (you don't get my chest band size, sorry) in Norway and I am absolutely massive here. I mean, I used to work with kids and it was embarrassing because I always got questions and kids trying to feel them. In the US, I blend in a lot more and have never had a similar experience. Sweden and Norway aren't actually that different as far as what people look like either.
I'd say overall women are proportional here, and body type is on the slender side. Not petite as you'd find in Poland, but not overly curvy.
Edit: If you want to see a decent cross section of Swedish young people and a decent Swedish film, check out Fucking Åmal. Scandinavia is a bit better at casting people that look like RL people. I mean, of course they're casting actors, but for the most part you get a better idea of what people actually look like.

Yeah, if you want the most mellifluous Romance language it's probably Italian, followed by Spanish or one of those obscure ones spoken by 1000 people in southern France that's really just a glorified dialect of Spanish or Italian or French.

Really. That's very sad to hear. Well, German it is then.
@Snaf, My interest in Scandinavia started because of the success of their Social programmes (most notably Denmark, which has maintained an unemployed % lower than 6% during the depths of the great recession) and I wanted to find out if it was because of their relative advantage (i.e. not being destroyed industrially in WW1&2) or because of the programs themselves. There was a guy on here, Jenrak, he had a doctorate and did his dissertation on the Scandinavian Welfarestates (I'm actually economically disinterested Norway because it's a petrol-state, but so is Russia, they just have like the 2nd best grain production in the world), sadly as soon as I got serious I haven't been able to find him again.
But yea, the breast size certaintly intensified my study. Got bogged down in school, etc, but really this whole thread has been very informative.
Thanks most, so far.
I realize you had better reason than breasts (but, hey, that's important too), it was just an opportunity to post my awesome information on bra sizes.

But seriously, if you're looking at Scandinavian languages. I vote for Norwegian for the reasons above. It's also not hard to learn the other two if you know one. But, pick a language you'll use the most.

Gigaverse where do you go for practice/beginning?
Dictionary. All Dictionary and a little bit of interest with the suddenly-awesome-just-add-Nazis language got me do it.
The same motivation applied for the Russians got me able to decipher 75% of the Cyrillic alphabet on my own.
Rookerie wrote:Leaving aside the terrifyingly casual sexism and racism, your explanations of all of them would definitely recommend German. It's ridiculously easy to tell the difference between someone learning a language because they love it, and someone speaking it to impress people and boost their feeling of self-worth. Specifically, the latter category tends to absolutely mangle the language, because speaking a language well is really hard work!
German seems to be the only language you're pursuing because of a true interest in its culture, history, and outlook, not just unrealistic romantic notions. Of course it has all of the advantages described above as well, but really, learning a language is like getting a job or pursuing anything else in life. If you don't have a passion for it, you'll burn yourself out; in all likelihood, you'll just wind up frustrated, and within a few years you'll have forgotten almost everything you learned anyway. On the other hand, with German, the longer you pursue it the more you'll enjoy it, since it seems like you would be more inclined to start using the skills you earned to read more complex works, see movies, etc.
