I don't see why we shouldn't just eradicate them. I mean how is this cute or adorable? It's ugly and turns my stomach. If people looked beyond the wings, wings that aren't that pretty anyway, they'd realize how right I am.

Before the Biology majors jump on me, I know insects are an important group of organisms in all aspects of nature.

Sounds like an interesting psychology experiment. Why do we view insects as often disgusting and grotesque? Because they look so bizarre, and one could even say, unnatural? Fear of the unknown?

I wonder why God even made those things. Seriously, I don't think there is anything that creeps me out more than them.

Well he probably didn't. So there's a spot of relief for us all.

No, it's the fear of being a woman. Not an actual woman, but an "un-man", which has been the concept of women for some time in one form or another, being directly expressed Aristotle.

Manhood goes far, far beyond simply being able to reproduce. It's part of identity, and castration threatens to obliterate that identity even more than death does.

Fearing the woman?

I love how they fly. I love it when one of them lands on my hand or something. Only insect that I like touching me.

Before I say anything, I'd like to make it clear that I don't hate anything. The word's too strong and is thrown around like a cheap rag doll. That said, my reasoning is below.

Now, is your fear the product of a bad experience or is it something you've always felt?

I really don't know. I think my fear/hate of butterflies stems from a particular trip to a Butterfly house when I was a kid. Scared the hell out of me, it did. They fly everywhere. They don't stop. And you can't crush them. Otherwise people look at you weird and think you also enjoy kicking babies.

I can't stand insects in general, but butterflies are the worst.

Spiders and what comes after death. I'm not scared of death because that's pointless and irrational but what comes after is what I'm worried about. My mind simply cannot handle the unknown especially when its unavoidable. Every time I try and think what it will be like whether there's a heaven or just nothing I cant comprehend it in my mind.

Well, understanding your experiences as a kid, you are really scared of them. If you saw one, would you kill it?

That's really odd. It's slightly unnerving now. But only because I've told to be scared of it I think.
