Thus they themselves are harmed when they end up in hell because of them not believing in the one true God.
However you cannot force belief on someone so homosexuality almost needs to be legal.

Huh. 54% support marriage equality, but only 52% want a federal marriage equality law. Weird.

Being gay married is horrible, I think. I mean... will I have to shave my armpits and take windy walks? What will my husband think? I'll obviously have to stuff my bra and I... *sigh*... I really don't want to start my life with someone off with a lie. You know?

Actually, there are many homosexuals that are very devout followers of God. And, in Lutheranism, they are therefore saved by faith and faith alone.
Plus, morality is subjective.

Why, every day when I wake up and stumble into the kitchen to grab my bowl of cereal I am assaulted by gay men wanting my fruit loops to decorate their sequined tutus for their impending ceremonies. I can't even use the bathroom without worrying that a glory hole might appear in place of my toilet paper roll. In fact, when I'm peeping... er, uh... gazing through my telescope and accidentally focus on the neighbors' bedrooms, gay sex distracts me from my own relationship so thoroughly that I have migraines. If they were to get married my relationship might be in complete ruins!!
I cannot allow this in the name of- oh my god, there's a gay man standing behind me with a wand threatening to turn me into Liza Minnelli if I post this! How do I delete?

Neil Patrick Harris wants to replace TV with endless reruns of How I Met Your Mother.

Salvation by faith alone is the worst approach though. It's just broadening the bigotry and making the ethics even more arbitrary.

My strategy with hare-brained questions/arguments like this is to entirely bypass them; after all, what we need is not a government that allows gay marriage, but a populace that doesn't bother to seek said government's say on something as complicated and personal as morality and the individual's sexuality.
