Hello posters who don't even care to read the previous page. I like to inform you that there are no reliable sources that prove that anything other than illegal immigrants will be transferred to the camps.

That changes things. It's still barbarism, but an everyday form of barbarism that my nation is guilty of too.

What should be done about it, if anything?

In my opinion, immediate international pressure needs to be placed against the greeks to discontinue the camps and to allow inspectors in to oversee this process. If evidence is found of deliberate genocide or passive genocide (by making the camps so awful that people die from the conditions) then military intervention may be required. There must be sanctions, and the government must be brought to trial.

While it's true that member states have chosen to relinquish a part of their sovereignty, neither the CoE nor the ECtHR (or the Convention itself) has the authority to limit sovereignty beyond what member states have voluntarily given up. So, in the context of the post above, it is not true that international treaty (ECHR) opens for member states to forfeit their sovereignty if they do one of "several things".

Well... Not exactly. Technically, they don't nullify anything. As the Court says in Assanidze v. Georgia:

it is primarily for the State concerned to choose the means to be used in its domestic legal order in order to discharge its legal obligation under Article 46 of the Convention, provided that such means are compatible with the conclusions set out in the Court's judgment. This discretion as to the manner of execution of a judgment reflects the freedom of choice attached to the primary obligation of the Contracting States under the Convention to secure the rights and freedoms guaranteed.

So if the Court finds violations of the Convention, it kicks the ball back to the domestic legal order in question to figure things out. Nothing (apart from what the Court awards as just satisfaction, which only is a form of economic sanction - one can in short be awarded damages and court costs) will happen automatically. Ordinarily though, member states will be loyal to the Convention and to the judgements of the ECtHR, and they will take quick action to repeal laws violating their legal obligations, offer reparations for any violations they have caused etc.

I guess this is a long-ass way to say that I think "nullify" is a wrong word to use

If you think a post is breaking the rules, report it in Moderation. It's the best way to get an answer on it, and to draw our attention to a potential problem, and perhaps head it off before it blows up completely taking several down in the process.

It is not spamming Moderation to post a report that is considered not actionable. How can you know, unless you ask? If you have a habit of repeatedly trying to get specific players in trouble over minor bits, THAT might get you, but I'm sure you folks know better than to do that. (PS, it has to be painfully obvious, multiple reports of a player who is breaking the rules is not harassment, it's pointing out a player who is constantly breaking the rules.)
